Mr. Edmund "Ed" Dyga's Obituary
Ed was carried up to the land of Glory on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. No more suffering, no more pain. He is safe now, and “the only scars in heaven are the hands that hold you now.” He was born to Claudia and Edmund Dyga, on January 23, 1955, and resided in Muskegon his entire life. On September 30, 1978, he married his soulmate, Janet Schieber, who survives him, along with sons, Jeremiah and Derek; and Adam and Alexis Dyga who are both biological grandchildren and adopted as legal children; 6 grandchildren, Zackaria Hill, Jeremiah Dyga Jr., Destinee Cotner, Alex Cotner, Daelyn Cotner, and Dyson Hammond. He leaves behind siblings, Larry (Jamie) Dyga, Greg (Laura) Dyga and Loretta Varboncoeur; mother-in-law, Ann Engelman; and sisters-in-law, Kathy (Bob) Fisher, Jackie Cavanaugh, Evelyn (Jeff) Paauwe, Jody Carr and Beth (Ed) Hartlove. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, sister Cathy Dyga and brothers, John and Doug Dyga; and his father-in-law and best friend, Bob Schieber. Ed was a faithful and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was generous with his time and his money. We have a lifetime of memories. His wishes were, no viewing his empty earthly body, no funeral, and to be cremated. Family will host a celebration of life in 2022. Any donations can be sent to the Muskegon Rescue Mission in honor of Edmund Dyga. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
