Edna J. Mogck's Obituary
Edna J. Mogck, age 89, met her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 8, 2021 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 25, 1931 to Albert and Hilda (Weidenbach) Ulmer in Scotland, South Dakota. On January 7, 1951, Edna married the love of her life, Vermaine Mogck in South Dakota. Together they cherished 70 years of marriage together filled with love and laughter. Michigan became home for the two in 1956, and they have lived there ever since. Both Edna and Vern were long-time members at Calvary Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and embroidering. She and Vern were breeders and have raised miniature pinschers for 20 years. She was also a long-time board member at Right to Life. They were also very active in Amway and traveled to numerous places. They were able to visit Hawaii twice while working with Amway. Edna was known to be a sweet and tender-loving woman, who never spoke ill of anyone. She will always be remembered for her love of teddy bears and her caring nature. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Vermaine Mogck; son, Kelly (Shelley) Mogck; 3 grandchildren, Tracy (Mark Stille) Mogck, Danielle (Ryan) Love and Ashley (Chris) Hathaway; 6 great-grandchildren, Nikki Stille, Drake Plude, Kirin Love, Orion Love, Gabriel Hathaway and Isaac Hathaway; and sister, Delores Frier. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mariette Mogck; son, Robin Mogck; 3 brothers, Melvin Ulmer, Arnold Ulmer and LaVerne Muchelkhaus; and brother-in-law, Ernest Frier. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Church, 213 W. Oak St., Fruitport Charter Twp, MI 49415 with visitation one-hour prior. A Burial will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Holland, MI. Memorial contributions in Edna’s honor can be made direct to Right To Life.
