Edna Spoelman's Obituary
Mrs. Edna Spoelman, age 91, went to be with her Lord, Sunday morning, December 4, 2005. She was born on December 29, 1913 to Timothy and Nellie (Musk) Zylstra in Muskegon. Mrs. Spoelman was member of Fellowship Reformed Church. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and knitting. She had a passion for reading and loved to play the piano and accordion. On April 29, 1923, she married John L. Spoelman in Hudsonville. Together they raised 4 beautiful children on the farm in Ellsworth, MI. Survivors include, Theodore (Leona) Spoelman of Muskegon, Nelson Spoelman of Central Lake, MI, Joyce (Dwayne) Evans of Clare, MI; daughter-in-law, Ardith Spoelman of Muskegon; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, John (Angeline) Zylstra of Lake Worth, FL, and Alvin (Patricia) Zylstra of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by one son, Lewis Spoelman, in 1985; 5 brothers, Henry, Edward, Martin, Albert & Clarence Zylstra and 2 sisters Agnes Wagonmaker and Gertrude Johnson. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Fellowship Reformed Church with Pastor Greg VanderMeer officiating. VISITATION will be 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 and one-hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana / Poppen Residence. INTERMENT will take place at Torch Lake Cemetery, East Port, MI.
