Edna G. Myers' Obituary
Mrs. Edna G. Myers, age 88, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004 in Grand Rapids. She was born on April 25, 1915 in Turin, Alberta, Canada to Dexter & Gena (Hendricksen) Greene and moved from Baldwin, Wisconsin to Muskegon in 1940. Since 1996 she had resided in Grand Rapids. Mrs. Myers was a member of Orchard View Congregational Church, and the Mother’s Golden Hours. She played the organ at Orchard View Congregational Church and Jackson Ave. Congregational Church, and accompanied a ladies trio for many years. Mrs. Myers had a love for music and her family. On February, 24, 1941, she married Kenneth E. Myers in Baldwin, Wisconsin, and he preceded her in death in October of 1993. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Jane (Bernard) Nielsen of Nampa, ID and their children, Nicole (Robert) Cooke of Idaho, Scott Nielsen of Idaho and Todd Nielsen of Idaho; Gloria (Alan) Wibalda of Grand Rapids and their children, Stasia (Luis) Salas of Grand Rapids and Marc (Sue) Wibalda of Grand Rapids; Gerald Myers of Kalamazoo, MI and his daughter, Erin Myers of Minnesota; 12 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Roy (Joyce) Greene of Eau Claire, WI; 1 sister, Mildred Benedict of Hammond, Wisconsin; and sister-in-law, Irene Greene of Baldwin, Wisconsin. Mrs. Myers was also preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister, Dorothy Pritchard; and 3 brothers, Lawrence Greene, Charlie Greene and Floyd Greene. SERVICES will be 1 PM Friday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Rev. William Randall officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 12-1 PM. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions to Hospice of Michigan will be appreciated.
