Edward D. Chartrand's Obituary
Mr. Edward Chartrand, age 72, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 in Muskegon following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 18, 1944 to Jean and Delores (Beauregard) Chartrand and was a lifelong resident of the Muskegon area. Edward was a 1962 graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Edward married Nancy Larson in Muskegon on April 29, 1967. He had worked at Amstore and also at Baker Furniture. Edward was an avid woodworker. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, but foremost was always his family. SURVIVORS include his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy; children, Debbie (Merl) Malinoski, David (Laurie) Chartrand; grandchildren, Allison (Ryan), Zachary, Christopher, Brittany (Josiah), Alyssa and Alexis; great-grandson, Hunter; brothers, Roger (Sandy), Larry, Michael (Aime), Raymond (Patty); sisters, Alice (Gene) Lemieux, Marge (John) Birch, Janice Chartrand and Mary Conran; and in-laws, Bev Brown and Jim Larson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Krista; and his brother, Tom. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1PM on Friday, June 23, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Pastor Eric Strattan officiating. VISITATION will be held Thursday, 5-7PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice.
