Our Uncle Ed.
I will always remember your smiling face and winking eye. When I was a child I always looked forward to the summer visits by my Uncle Ed and Aunt Flossie. As soon as he arrived, our home was filled with laughter, cribbage playing, cigarette smoking (my parents never smoked) and piano playing. Uncle Ed was super funny and to push him into superstar status, since he was a candy salesman, he would bring tons of candy with him! I would brag to my friends about my Uncle Ed, which would have them running to his car when he arrived yelling "Uncle Ed! Uncle Ed!" hoping for some candy handouts.
The last time I saw Uncle Ed was almost 2 years ago. He still had that smiling face and still recognized me. We even played cribbage and remembered times from the past.
Thank you Uncle Ed for all your kindness and all the great memories. I know my parents and Aunt Flossie were waiting to greet you in heaven. All our love.
