Edward Leo Fleese's Obituary
Edward Leo Fleese age 94 of Grant died, Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Fountainview Nursing Home in Grant.
Ed was born on June 18, 1918 in Leelanau, Michigan to the late Joseph H. and Catherine L. (Witkowski) Fleese. Ed served in the United States Military during WWII.
He married Gladys L. (Wickham) Fleese on May 9, 1941 at Niagara Falls.
Ed is survived by: 4 Sons: Roger (Paula) Fleese of Ravenna, Doug Fleese Sr. of Newaygo, Darrell Fleese of Grant and John (Pearl) Fleese of Conklin. 3 Daughters: Janet (Louis) Wellman of Moorland, Pam Fleese of Sand Lake and Lisa Redmon of Twin Lake. 30 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren also survive.
Ed was preceded in death in addition to parents and wife Gladys by: 2 Sons: Randy and Ron Fleese, 1 Daughter: Sandra Leeball. 2 Brothers: John and Raymond and 3 Sisters: Vergie, Ellis and Jennie.
Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Catherines Catholic Church with Father Fred Brucker celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Catherines Cemetery.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends. Also at the church 1 hour prior to Mass. The Rosary will be prayed on Thursday at 8:00pm.
Memorials may be directed to: St. Catherines Catholic Church or Hospice of Michigan.
