Eddie and I (also a Eddie) shared an apartment off of Henry St. He was always very interesting and we always took time out for laughter. We were roommates until I decided to get married in July of 1977. My best man in our wedding was THE BEST MAN being Eddie. I remember going to a Lions football game with him and the patternmakers, that was very memorable. Lots of laughs and all good memories.
It was Christmas 1963 or so my brother Ed gave my sister Mary and me a gift to share. A secondhand record player and a big stack of 45’s to play. Boy were we excited. Had that phonograph and records from Everly Brothers, Chubby Checker, Elvis… for years.
I am Riley, and I was very grateful my grandpa was able to come to my college graduation. I am the first Haubrich to graduate college and even went as far to get my masters. I loved calling my grandpa and asking him about his day, and he always had the best stories. I will forever miss him and the memories we shared
