Oh my, Lisa. I just read Ed's obituary!
You have my sincerest sympathy.
I have great childhood memories of you, Ed, your mom, Lucy and dad, Mike!
Your mom sang beautifully at our wedding, Savior Like a Savior Lead Us.
Saturday mornings I "babysat" you and "Eddie" when our mothers went grocery shopping together. We enjoyed watching TV programs like, The Lone Ranger & Lasie.
May God Bless and comfort you.
Lovingly,
Ginger

Ed was an influential attorney and a stand up guy. He was loved in the North Muskegon community and the legal community. I had him in court for a fairly long hearing just a few days before he went into the hospital, and Ed was still sharp as a tack. He will be dearly missed by our entire community. Love to his family.♥️

Ed was a great man, he helped us get our grandmothers house when I moved back to Muskegon. We also worked together on a number of abuse and neglect cases. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
The Ealom Family

My heartfelt condolences to the Waisura family: I came to Ed's law office after my late husband Danny Smith passing. He knew Dan from playing basketball and a great track runner from Muskegon Heights. We connected instantly after that he knew who I was. I will always be grateful for his legal guidance and passion to help me when everything was so foreign after my husband passed. Ed was a kind man and will be greatly missed. Covering your family in my prayers.

Ed was such a treasure. Not only was he a pillar of the legal community, he was an absolute joy to work with. He truly brightened every room he entered. He had the best sense of humor and always loved telling stories about his family, whom he clearly adored. He had a way of effortlessly lightening the mood in the most tense courtroom moments, and always showed respect and compassion for everyone he met. One of my favorite Ed memories is when he rode his bike over to our house in Spring Lake about two years ago. At the time, his local grandchildren were living in Alaska and it was clear he needed a kid fix to make it through the summer. I was more than happy to oblige. He held my youngest and played outside with my two older kids so I could sit down for a few minutes... it was glorious (photo from 2022 attached). I absolutely adored Ed. You don't come across many people as special as Ed in a lifetime, and I consider myself lucky to have known and worked with him. He was one of a kind. My heart breaks for his family, but I'm hopeful his legacy and these memories will encourage others to live like him.
The world has lost a good one. What a well respected attorney, volunteer, leader, and loving family man. Such fond memories growing up as Steven was a great friend to our son Christoper. Many weekends spent working on train layouts in each others basements, evening rides with Ed and the boys chasing local trains, weekend Amtrak trips to Chicago, and Detroit Tigers games as families. But my favorite memory is when Ed called one evening saying, get the boys ready, we’ll pick you up in 15 minutes, Dumb and Dumber opens at the Cinema tonight…….What a pillar that gave us all life lessons on how to simply be a good person, live by example, laugh at adversity, and love unconditionally…..RIP Good and Faithful Servant.
