Edward Albert Winicki's Obituary
Mr. Edward A. Winicki, age 84, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 at his home. He was born August 11, 1929 in Muskegon to Martin and Catherine (Mondala) Winicki. Ed received a degree in electronics from the DeVry Institute and owned and operated several businesses, including: Winicki Appliance, the Bowl-a-Rama, Payless Auto Sales and Carpet Rolls and Rems. He also ventured into real estate. He married the former Jo Ann Gannon in Muskegon on January 20, 1962. Ed was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; 1 daughter, Jo Ann “Joie” (Edward B.) Kollar of N. Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Edward A., Justin B. and Jessica M. Kollar; 3 brothers, Robert (Mary Ann) Winicki, Kenneth Winicki and Gerald Winicki; 1 sister, Carol (Joe) Firlet. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters. A MEMORIAL MASS will be held at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 239 West Clay, Muskegon, Monday, March 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Matthew J. Barnum as celebrant. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the Mass at church. MEMORIAL contributions may be directed to Bethany Christian Services Foster Care, 1848 E. Sherman, Blvd, Suite I, Muskegon, MI 49444.
