Edward A. Houseman's Obituary
Mr. Edward A. Houseman, age 72, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Mercy Hospital. He was born March 29, 1938 in Muskegon to Gerritt and Helen (Gallagher) Houseman and lived in the area his entire life. On February 7, 1959, he married the former Carol A. Mull and she survives him. Prior to retirement in 1992, he worked over 30 years in the plating department for Muskegon Piston Ring. He was formerly a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Along with his wife, Carol, he is also survived by 3 sons, Edward A. “Eddie” Houseman, Jr. of Battle Creek, Thomas Houseman of Muskegon, and David (Christine) Houseman of Buffalo, WY; 6 granddaughters and 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jim (Marlene) Houseman of Kent City, Bob Houseman of Grand Haven; 3 sisters, Eleanor (Melvin) Doremire, Julia (Jack) Bradfield, and Rita (Mike) Weinert all of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, John, Virgil and Raymond Houseman. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Fellowship Reformed Church (4200 E. Apple Avenue) with Rev. Jerry Worrel officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery. VISTATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Thursday at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or the Salvation Army.
