Edward C. Babbitt's Obituary
Mr. Ed Babbitt, age 68, went to be with his Lord, Saturday morning, May 22, 2004, in Muskegon. He was born February 18, 1936 in Hart, Michigan to Clarence & Hazel (Hart) Babbitt and had resided in the Muskegon area since 1959. Ed has owned and operated Babbitt’s Sports Center since 1965 and previously owned and operated Babbitt’s Auto Sales. He was a member of Calvary Church and a veteran of the National Guard. Ed enjoyed his classic car collection, racing snowmobiles and Jeeps, pulling weeds and gardening, his black lab, Katie, Sea-Doos and boating on Mona Lake, but most of all he loved his grandchildren. On April 20, 1963 he married the former Pamala Anderson and she survives him along with 2 children, Heidi (Steve) Adams and Edward C.(Kendra) Babbitt, Jr., of Muskegon; 7 grandchildren, Jordan, Kip, Broc and Logan Babbitt, Lindsay and Collin Adams, Kaleb Buckner; 1 sister, Ruth Babbitt of Ludington 1 brother, Richard Babbitt of Appleton, WI and his father and mother-in-law, Andy & Leora Anderson of Muskegon. SERVICES will be 11 AM Tuesday at Calvary Church (5873 Kendra, Fruitport) with Pastor Terry Fulk officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION will be 2-4 & 7-9PM Monday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Avenue
