Edward E. Baker, Sr.'s Obituary
Edward E. Baker, Sr., age 81, passed away late Tuesday, evening following a long illness. Ed was born in Muskegon on April 18, 1929 to Raymond and Clara (Jones) Baker. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a mail carrier for 25 years before retiring in 1984. Ed was a member of, VFW Post 446 and the National Association of Letter Carriers. He married the former, Corrine M. Montambo in Muskegon on September 20, 1952 and she survives him along with: one son, Edward E. (Laura) Baker, Jr. of Livonia; one daughter, Tami Barton of Fruitport; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Adam, Timothy (Brittany), Courtney & Katelyn; one great-grandson, Owen; a brother, Donald (Emily) Baker of Texas; three sisters, Lillian Ellis of Grand Haven, June Cress of California and Sandy Cook of Grand Haven. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by: a brother; three sisters and two infant daughters, Mary Ann and Susan Marie.
