Edward G. (Smitty) Smith's Obituary
Mr. Edward G. Smith, age 80, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 in Muskegon. He was born November 23, 1930 in Muskegon to Henry and Catherine (Rafferty) Smith, and resided in the Lakeside area all of his life. Ed was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked for over 30 years at Consumer’s Power as a meter reader, post retirement he worked as a driver for Muskegon Senior Transportation. Ed was a long time member of the Muskegon Rec Club, and enjoyed the summer golf outings. On August 1, 1953, he married the former Audrienne Lindstrom, and she preceded him in death on November 27, 2000. SURVIVIORS include 3 children, Cindy (John) Ogren of Ogilvie, MN, Rick (fiancé Patty) Smith of Chicago, Rob (Nancy) Smith of Muskegon; much adored granddaughter, Kelsey Ogren; and 2 sisters, Sally (Dick) Pleimling and Shirley Green both of Muskegon, as well as many nieces and nephews.
