Edward J. Bartz's Obituary
Edward J. Bartz, age 81, passed away unexpectedly at Mercy Hospital Thursday morning, November 3, 2011. He was born in Muskegon on July 11, 1930 to Edward W. and Florence (Gill) Bartz. Mr. Bartz was a member of the Muskegon Heights Eagles and was an avid Fisherman. Ed made several walleye fishing trips into Canada with his family and friends. Until his retirement in 1981, He was employed at AP Parts in Grand Haven. Edward married the former Loretta Millis on November 30, 1950. Loretta preceded Ed in death in 1967. He then married the former Virginia Wagner Snowfleet in Muskegon on September 19, 1969. Mr. Bartz is survived by his: wife, Gini; two sons, Alan (Marjorie) Bartz of Nunica and Ronald J. (Janet) Bartz of Byr on Center; three step-daughters, Janet (David) Harris of Norton Shores, Renee Snowfleet of Grand Haven and Tawny (Charles) Husted of Norton Shores; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert and a sister, Barbara Lamb. In accordance to his wishes, there will be no service or visitation.
