Edward N. Naperalsky's Obituary
Mr. Edward N. Naperalsky, age 83, passed away Monday evening, May 22, 2006. He was born June 30, 1922 to Leonard J. and Evelyn (Noble) Naperalsky in Muskegon Heights, and was a life resident of the Muskegon area. While at Muskegon Heights High School he participated in football and baseball, and later was active in golf and bowling. He worked as a C.P.A. for 50 years, and was a former partner in the accounting firm of Maihoffer, Moore, and DeLong, which later merged with Alexander Grant. He was a member of the American Institute of C.P.A.’s, and a life member of the Michigan Association of C.P.A.’s. Mr. Naperalsky was a member of the Knights of Columbus #706, a life member of the Muskegon Elks #274, the V.F.W. Post #3195, and the American Legion. He was also a life member of the Old Newsies, the Old Time Baseball Association, and was a former member of the Muskegon Lions Club, the Sierra Club, and the Oakridge Golf Club. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during the Second World War, and was awarded two bronze stars and the combat infantry badge while in the 102nd Infantry Division. Mr. Naperalsky was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church for over 40 years. On May 14, 1949 he married the former Dorothy L. Smith. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Gary Naperalsky of South Bend, IN, Marijo (Donald) Rislov of Milwaukee, WI, Michael (Barbara) Naperalsky of Bay City, MI; 2 grandchildren, Michael E. Naperalsky, Cassandra L. Rislov; 5 step-grandchildren, Christopher (Casey) Rislov, Nathan Rislov, Patrick (Amy) Rislov, Scott (Crystal) VanWalsum, Michael (Kelly) VanWalsum; 3 great-grandchildren, Emily and Lucy Rislov, and Gabriella VanWalsum; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his mother and father, and 1 brother, Donald Naperalsky. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday morning at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, with military rites under the auspices of the V.F.W Post #3195. VISITATION at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W.
