Ed was a super human being . So lucky I got to meet such an interesting and interested person. I only knew him the last years of his life. Wish I had known him longer. Helpful to the end , this is Ed teaching his breadmaking skills even when he was not feeling his best. He will be missed a lot!

Edwin will certainly be missed by all of his family & friends. Edwin's family moved to Ravenna when Edwin was to start the 4th Grade. He became my first boyfriend. I was so impressed that he had a pad of paper that cost 25 cents, as I had a pad of paper that cost a nickel. Ravenna did not have much to offer for young girls & boys. We did take advantage of the skating rink in the American Legion Building. A group of my friends would go skating on a weekly basis, and at the time, the girls had to wait for the boys to ask a girl to skate with them. Nice memories!

I send comfort and peace to Ed's family. A favorite memory of many is when I first joined Rotary and volunteered to make chili for the Chili Cookoff to raise money for trips to help people in Honduras and El Salvador. Ed also made chili and as we all tasted one another's chili, his was absolutely the best and he came in first!
He was always there to help us and was friendly and funny and as I worked with getting instruments for the Heights band, he volunteered many of his violins for students in Muskegon!
He is already missed--his smile, his humor, and his willingness to always demonstrate "Service Above Self".

He was the best big brother a girl could ever have..Ed and Debra Tom and I would have Friday night dinners, me with my roast beef dinners and Ed with is pies. I will miss him forever.

Ed and I were classmates in high school, I was always impressed with his intellect along with his jovial demeanor. He furthered his education and as expected made himself a very valuable tool in the chemistry industry. He was quite the unique individual, and we will miss his presence at our class reunions.
