Edytha J. Foster's Obituary
Edytha June Foster, age 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Edy was born in Muskegon, MI, on March 18, 1930, to Clarence and Nellie (Burgett) Collins. She was a lifelong resident of the Muskegon area and was a longtime member at Wolf Lake United Methodist Church. Edy was a talented seamstress, sewing wedding dresses for her daughters and making clothing for dolls. She was a wonderful cook and baker and was well known for the elaborate wedding cakes that she would bake. She was quite musically gifted, able to play the piano by ear and often singing for her church when needed. More than anything she loved spending time with her family, her pride and joy. Edy was a friendly, loving person who would do anything for anyone.
Edy will be lovingly remembered by her five children: Roylynn (Sterling) Wever, Lynn (Shelly) Foster, David (Vickie) Foster, Phyllis (Gary) Pastor, and Jeff (Melissa) Foster; 29 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren with two more on the way; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nellie Collins; first husband, Virgle Foster; second husband, Lyle Robinson; and all seven of her sisters and all five of her brothers.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held for Edy at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior.
