Mrs. Bolcer was my first Clinical nursing instructor at Schoolcraft College and my favorite. She was respectful of her new fledglings while helping us to apply what we learned. When the Class of 1980 get together, her name is always comes up. We all agree she was a great mentor. I am grateful for the many things she taught me. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

PS My first day on the floor she assigned me Mr. Randall as my first patient. I was sure she had mistakenly put my name down. When I asked her to make sure, she just smiled and said I wanted you to remember your first patient.This is the kind of person she was.

I was a junior faculty member with Eileen when she was teaching nursing at Schoolcraft College. I have thought of her often since then as we shared many wonderful stories of our families while we were at work. Ours always seemed like a friend-friend relationship as we kept each other entertained with funny things about our children and pets. She was a great mentor and an inspiration.
