Eileen Hewitt's Obituary
Mrs. Eileen Hewitt, age 86, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 17, 2008 in Muskegon. She was born September 12, 1921 to Edward A. and Una Belle “Nora” (Becker) O’Neill in Morley, MI, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1947. Eileen had worked as a sales clerk at Hardy Herpolsheimers, and also at Grossman’s. She was a pianist for the Kitchen Rambler Band, the Women of the Moose, the Northside Serenaders, and the Melodears, and many years ago played in church. She was also a member of Hope Reformed Church. Eileen was married to Leslie G. Hewitt on April 14, 1972 in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1983. SURVIVORS include 1 daughter, Evelyn Nichols of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Michael (Cindy) Nichols of Bitely, Frank “Butch” (Debbie) Nichols of Muskegon, Keith Nichols of Muskegon, David Nichols of Muskegon; 7 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Joyce (Jack) Way of Muskegon;2 nieces and 2 nephews; and a very dear friend, Cecil Dake. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Allison, who drowned in 1954; son-in-law, Frank Nichols; grandson, Timothy Nichols; great-grandson, Jason; great-granddaughter, Christine; 2 brothers, Robert and Richard O’Neill. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Friday at Hope Reformed Church, with Rev. Steven Hyma officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION at
