Mrs. Elaine Grace Doctor's Obituary
Mrs. Elaine Grace Doctor, age 89, passed away April 18, 2017. Elaine was born August 23, 1927 to Wilbur and Ina (Smith) Peck. On July 6, 1948, she married Clarence Doctor, and together they were blessed with 3 children. Elaine was a very sweet lady, a loving mother, and handywoman; if something needed to be fixed, she would always find a way to make it work again. Elaine also loved to laugh; she was quite the jokester. Most of all, she was a very selfless person who would help anyone in need. She was an extremely loving and giving person. Elaine is survived by her children; Sandra Perkins, Larry (Kathy) Doctor, and Roger (Brenda) Doctor; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Linda Prey-Smith; parents; and brothers, Elroy, Bruce, and Donald Peck. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM, Monday, April 24, 2017 at Celebration Community Church, 1260 W. Sherman Blvd. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be 1:30 PM, Monday at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to the West Michigan Veterans Coalition. Arrangements are being handled by The Sytsema Chapel 737 E.
