Elaine Maxine (Nelson) Feil's Obituary
Elaine Maxine (Nelson) Feil, 92, of Muskegon, died on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in Lawrenceville, GA. She was the daughter of Frank and Ida Nelson, of Muskegon. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Patrice and Robert Burkhardt, of Mount Joy, PA; her daughter, Deborah F. Dewey, of Snellville, GA; her grandchildren, Miles Dewey, Hannah Dewey, and Rachel Dewey, all of Snellville, GA; her sister, Carol (Rodney) Priest, of Norton Shores, MI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, in the Muskegon area.
Her brother, Vern Nelson, of Muskegon, MI; her sister, Betty (Walter) Love, of Muskegon, MI; her sister, Janet (Donald) Kolbe, of Jackson, MI; her dearest friends of 65 years, Ray and Beverly Blandford, of Fremont, MI; and her husband, Alan J. Feil, of Wilmington, NC, all predeceased her.
Elaine worked for the Sears Roebuck & Company, the F. W. Woolworth Company, the Mount Prospect State Bank, and Rich's Department Store. Although she lived in many different locations, Elaine always considered Muskegon her home. Affectionately known as "Aunt Elaine," she was always kind, caring, and willing to help everyone. She will be dearly missed by her family.
Services will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 South Harvey Street, (231) 798-1100. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm.
