Elaine Joan Groszowski's Obituary
Mrs. Elaine Joan Groszowski, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in Muskegon, Michigan. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 13, 1933 to Erwin and Lila (Sartwell) Huber. On December 20, 1952, Elaine married Edwin A. Groszowski in Muskegon and they enjoyed 69 years of marriage prior to his passing in March of 2022. Elaine and Ed enjoyed traveling with the Orchard View Travelers Group. They also enjoyed the yearly week spent at Campbell Lake in Hesperia, Michigan with family and friends. Elaine was an avid ice skater at the LC Walker arena and enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Elaine is survived by two daughters, Nancy (Larry) Hooker and Lori Groszowski; two granddaughters, Jill (Andrew) Maciejewski and Beth Hooker; and two great-grandchildren, Parker and Nora Maciejewski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; parents; two sons, Paul and Gary Groszowski; son-in-law, Shane Ledbetter; three brothers and one sister. SERVICES for Elaine will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
