Elaine L. Howe's Obituary
Elaine L. Howe, age 89, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024. She was born on September 5, 1935, to Bernard “Bud” and Gertrude (Vanderwier) Feltman in Muskegon, MI where she lived most of her life. Elaine married the love of her life, Robert Howe on February 24,1956 in Muskegon. Together they cherished 65 years full of love and laughter. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2021. She worked at Brunswick Corporation as a secretary until she became a much-loved stay at home mom. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and founder and charter member of Connection Point Church, formerly known as Eastwood Church of the Nazarene. In her later years, she loved working at the White Lake Senior Center. Elaine enjoyed singing, camping, traveling, game nights and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving mom, doting grandma and great-grandma, and wonderful friend to many. She is survived by her children Gregory (Susan) Howe, Janet (Michael) Thomas and Barbara (Daniel) Prus; grandchildren Alyson (Cody) Vela, Emily (David) McCrary and PFC Nathaniel Prus; and great-grandchildren Cailen and Alyssa Vela and Adelaide, Amelia and Oliver McCrary. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Robert Howe; and aunt, Goldie Rasmussen. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Connection Point Church, 2270 S. Mill Iron Rd., Muskegon, MI 49442 with visitation one-hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in her honor can be directed to Gentiva Hospice.
