Mrs. Elaine Harriett Rodgers' Obituary
Mrs. Elaine Harriett Rodgers, age 92, passed away February 19, 2018. Elaine was born September 7, 1925 in Muskegon to Gilbert and Pearl (Carpenter) Olson. She was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School and was on the planning committee for all 76 reunions. On July 2, 1949 she married John A. Rodgers and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1981. Elaine worked at Hahn Pharmacy for over 17 years and then worked part time for Hallmark until her retirement in 1985. She was also a former member of the Vikings Lodge Linne #57 and had for many years been a chaperone for the Miss Michigan Pageant. She is survived by her daughters, Diane Rodgers and Renee (Dennis) Klopstein; grandchildren, Malea Nicolet, Shawn Quimbach, and Scott (Abbie) Rodgers; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Olson; and sisters, Beverly Vos and Joyce Klinkner. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2 PM Saturday, February 24, 2018, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev John H. Brown officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
