Elaine TenHove's Obituary
Mrs. Elaine (Hofmann) TenHove, age 79, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at her home. She was born March 19, 1934 in Muskegon to Charles and Jennie (Thornberg) Hofmann and lived in the area her entire life. On July 9, 1954, she married Howard E. TenHove, Sr. and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2005. Elaine worked 34 years as a crossing guard for the City of Muskegon before retiring in 1991. She was also a member of Hope Reformed Church. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Howard TenHove, Jr., Brian (Michelle) TenHove of Surprise, AZ, Pam (Daniel) Stonex, Randy (Jennifer) TenHove; 20 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Lucille (Roger) Golliver. She was also preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, Michelle TenHove, her parents, and 1 brother, Charles Hofmann. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 17, 2014 at Hope Reformed Church (1878 Evanston Ave.) with Pastor Steve Hyma officiating. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Monday at church. INTERMENT will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
