Mrs. Elaine Wydra Walter, age 87, died in Muskegon at The Sanctuary at the Park on Monday, March 31, 2014. She was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin on April 13, 1926 to Emil and Martha (Gramer) Schultz. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse; and loved traveling, dancing, reading and knitting. She attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Elaine was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph W. Wydra; daughter, Peggy Jo Kettle; brothers, Martin Zietlow, Norman, Wilbur and Lyle Schultz; and sisters, Irene (Hubert) Smith, Eleanor (Raymond) Scheeler and Mildred (Delmer) Klein. She is survived by her former husband, John C. Walter; daughter, Pamela Ann Caris and granddaughter, Ann Marie Caris, all of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. According to her wishes a private funeral service will be held. Interment will be made in Mona View Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Association.
