I was a life-long friend of Elaine. She grew up on Third and Clinton, and I grew up less than a block away on Clinton Street. A few years ago we must have spent an hour visiing with Jim and Elaine in a grocery store off Robbins Road. She also came to the funeral home when my Mother died. Helen Jessen has kept me informed abut your visits together. Our prayers are with your family. Dear Jim and family, I have many fond memories of Elaine. Doris Crum, Elaine and I had coffee together everyday for years. She was a wonderful neighbor. I remember the Crum kids, my kids and yours all playing together, walking to school together and growing up. My prayers are with you and your family. My husband and I live in Florida now, Randy still lives in Grand Haven. I was there last summer and almost stopped to say hi to Elaine, but sorry to say I did not. May God bless each of you and know that she is in a better place with no more pain. We will all meet again someday. John, my ex-husband is here in Florida also fighting cancer.
