Elaine M. Cooper's Obituary
Mrs. Elaine M. Cooper, age 65, died Monday evening, March 16, 2009. She was born May 28, 1943 in Muskegon to Ernest & Henrietta “Sarah” (DeYoung) Essebaggers and had been a life resident of the area. Elaine was a member of Allen Ave. Christian Reformed Church and was formerly a member of Unity Reformed Church. Prior to her retirement, Elaine had been employed at Hackley Hospital for 17 years. Elaine was known for her zeal for life and her determination no matter what the endeavor. She loved her family and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She was an active daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend as she was not one to miss an event or a chance to be there for you. She was always the Biggest Fan at sporting events, dance recitals, concerts or even silly ventures. She loved birds and enjoyed learning about Michigan birds to teach her family. She enjoyed knitting and blessed many with her prayer shawls – knit 3, pearl 3. She loved the outdoors especially biking and camping. On September 28, 1962 she married Lewis E. Cooper and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her mother, “Sarah” and brother, Randy, in 2006. SURVIVORS include her 3 daughters, Tammy Rebone of Muskegon, Terri (Troy) Redder of Grand Haven and Toni (Scott) Schuitema of Spring Lake; 9 grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Bryant & Jackson Rebone, Reece & Paige Redder, Brittany, Ashly and Shelby Schuitema; her father, Ernest of Muskegon, 1 brother, Wayne (Cory) Essebaggers of Rothbury; 1 sister, Lori (Scott) Fisher of Muskegon and by her sister-in-law, Terri Essebaggers of Hesperia. SERVICES will be 11 AM Friday, March 20, 2009 at Allen Ave. Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Robert Bierenga officiating. Burial will be in Norton Cemetery. VISITATION with Elaine’s family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at
