Eldon W. Jacobs' Obituary
Mr. Eldon W. Jacobs, age 91, died Friday, December 28, 2007, at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, MI. He was born October 5, 1916 in Casnovia Twp, MI to Warley & Ola May (Black) Jacobs where he resided until moving to Kent City in 1952. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. Following 34 years of employment at Continental Motors he retired in 1978; and traveled with his wife, Lois, until moving to Ravenna in 1986. He was a member of Local #113 UAW and a former member of the Casnovia Lodge #461 of F & AM. On April 7, 1941 he married the former Lois Hoffman and she preceded him in death on December 23, 1995. He was also preceded in death by 5 siblings, LaVerne (George) Walker, Bernice (Ed) Pluger, Lorraine (Jim) Veenstra, Louis Jacobs and Marvin Jacobs. SURVIVORS include his daughter, Carol (Joseph) Victor of Clinton Twp.; 2 grandsons, Michael (Marlo) Victor of Fraser, MI and Jason (Jennifer) Victor of East Pointe, MI ; 3 great-grandchildren, Lexis, Cassidy and Alexander Victor; 1 brother, Bernard (Rose) Jacobs and by 1 sister, Bea (Carl) Tobey. SERVICES will be 11 AM Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 (231-726-5210)with Rev. David A. Selleck offiating. Visitation will be from 10 -11 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. MEMORIAL GIFTS to Harbor Hospice will be appreciated.
