Eleanor Alvesteffer's Obituary
Eleanor J. Alvesteffer, age 83, passed away Saturday evening, July 10, 2004 in Muskegon. She was born May 13, 1921 to Joseph and Florence (Ziegler) Alvesteffer in Weare Township, Oceana County, and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She was a member of St. Jean Catholic Church, had been employed as a secretary for Muskegon Piston Ring, Plumb’s, Hasper’s, and retired from St. Joseph Catholic Church. Eleanor had a great love for all animals, especially dogs. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Leo (Dorothy) Alvesteffer, Robert (Valeria) Alvesteffer, Gerry Malburg, Gil (Clara) Alvesteffer, Ralph (Wanda) Alvesteffer, Roseanne (Stan) Gross, Louise (Harold) Schaner, Maxine (Paul) VanDyke, Lornella Faucher, Charlene (Richard) Birkman, Judy (Howard) Haight; and brother-in-law, Wesley Hewitt. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Agnes Hewitt; brother, Ronald Alvesteffer; brothers-in-law, Michael Malburg and Thomas Faucher. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Jean Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. James Wyse presiding, and the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato con-celebrating. VISITATION at
