Eleanor Ames' Obituary
Mrs. Eleanor M. “Ellie” Ames, age 92, passed away early Monday morning, February 28, 2005 in South Carolina. She was born September 4, 1912 to William and Elsie (Emerson) Challender in Leelenau Co., MI, and lived in the Muskegon area since 1940 before recently moving to South Carolina. She married Orrin E. Ames on September 5, 1933 in Michigan City, IN, and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2003. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Kaye Arnold of CO, Richard (Judy) Ames of WI, Linda (Gary) Frank of SC; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Alden Purvis of Traverse City. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor McWilliams in 1969. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave.,(231) 726-5210
