Eleanor Lucille Hoffmeyer's Obituary
Mrs. Eleanor L. Hoffmeyer, age 84, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012. She was born June 22, 1927 in Muskegon to Earl and Emma (Graham) Gue. Eleanor was employed at Cole’s Bakery for 19 years until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Muskegon Hts. Eagles and a former member of V.F.W. Post 446 Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Thomas “Dewey” Hoffmeyer of Muskegon, Richard (Alicia) Hoffmeyer of Portland, MI, Daryl “Jes” (Valerie) Hoffmeyer of N. Muskegon, Randy Hoffmeyer of Muskegon and Terry Hoffmeyer of Twin Lake; 1 sister, Betty Burrington of Muskegon; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and former husband, Arnold (Mary) Hoffmeyer of Rothbury, MI. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Joy South, daughter-in-law, Rhonda Hoffmeyer, 7 brothers and 3 sisters. The MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, Rev. Michael Goers officiating. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Assoc. will be appreciated.
