Eleanor Vincent's Obituary
Mrs. Eleanor Vincent, age 93, of Grand Haven passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at Heartwood Lodge. She was born November 6, 1920 in Spring Lake to John and Nora (Teunis) Swiftney. On November 16, 1939 she married William Vincent in Grand Haven and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2006.
Eleanor was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Grand Haven and was a very active volunteer for many years. She enjoyed baking, embroidering, but most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by two children: Ruth Ann (David) Gustafson of Scottville, Robert (Sandra) Vincent of South Haven; seven grandchildren: Cathy (Greg) Fletchall, Michael (Emily) Gustafson, Sandra (Dan) Morren, Todd (Ann Marie) Vincent, Scott (Julie) Vincent, Melanie Vincent, and Laura (Bob) Welton; seventeen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Bob Vincent; Henry (Mary) Rolf; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 15, 2014 at First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Richard Hamstra officiating. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Thursday, August 14, 2014 at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Interment will take place in Spring Lake Township Cemetery.
