Eleanor E. Kotlewski's Obituary
Mrs. Eleanor E. Kotlewski, age 83, died early Sunday morning, July 11, 2004. She was born June 25, 1921 in Mason County, MI to Anthony and Angela (Mantych) Sass, and had resided in the Muskegon area since the age of 21. Mrs. Kotlewski owned and operated the Hide Away Beauty Shop for 40 years. She had also worked 10 years for the Brunswick Corporation. Mrs. Kotlewski was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. On June 30, 1956, she married August Kotlewski in Freesoil, MI and he preceded her in death on June 29, 1979. SURVIVORS include 2 step-children, Carol (Robert) Carvey, August (Peggy) Kotlewski both of Muskegon; 4 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Anthony A. (Kathleen) Sass of Muskegon; and several generations of nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a step-son, Clarence Kotlewski; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Mark Bauer presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
