Laurel and I were saddened to hear that your mom had passed away.
We have often spoken of when you brought Tommie to our New Years Eve Party a few years ago. Tommie was the 'life of the party'--she got all us "youngins" up and dancing and partying.
We only met her that one time, but will always remember her fondly.

Aunt Tommie. I have wonderful memories
of Lake St. Clair,and Milford. Especially all the fun tobogganing down the big hill in the winter,eating the homemade donuts ,playing with Bonnie, and the awesome foot peddle piano! I have one of Aunt Tommie's paintings hanging above my desk at work. She had painted it for my grandparents. The picture is the view of Muskegon Lake from their back window. I love that painting, and the memories it holds for me. Tommie was a sweetheart always had a smile and she loved her boys even in church she would say My Danny does this and David did that always pride of her family I know you boys know how much she loved you both. Over the past few years your mother was in the habit of stopping by the County Museum every few weeks. She always asked to speak to the Director. We would often chat for a half hour or so.
As such I greatly came to admire, respect, and care for "Tommie". She was always so full of life, and so joyful. No matter the weather or adversity, she was always in good spirits, and this spread to those she came in contact with, especially for me. She often talked of her family, and most especially her boys. She was extremely proud of you.
I will miss her visits and her smiles. I feel fortunate to have gotten to know her. Prior commitments will not allow me to join you during the visitation, but please know that I will have her, and you, in my prayers on Saturday.

Several years ago I was Tommie's insurance representative. She would often drop by the office to say hello and even share pictures with me. In her way, Tommie was ageless.
