Eleanor Mae Heinz's Obituary
Eleanor Mae Heinz, age 74, of Nunica, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 21, 2006. She was born January 3, 1932 to George T. and Hazel B. (Martin) Verwey in Grand Haven; and she married Robert C. Heinz on November 25, 1947 in Grand Haven. They had been married over 56 years at the time of his death on April 19, 2003.
A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Heinz had been employed by American Electrical in Spring Lake for many years, retiring in 1988. She attended Calvary Temple in Fruitport. Eleanor enjoyed: camping, working in the yard, and spending time with her kids and grand kids.
Survivors include 5 daughters, Edna M. (Jim) Duer of Spring Lake and Charlene A. (Ron) Rosso of Traverse City, Carol S. (Steve) Peirson, and Diane L. (Tony) Fordham, both of Grand Haven, and Debra K. (David) Jannenga of Spring Lake; 2 sons, Robert E. (Joan) Heinz of Florida, and Charles E. (Donna) Heinz of Nunica; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Goodin and brother Edward E. Verwey.
A funeral service for Mrs. Heinz will be held at Calvary Temple, 2956 E. Pontaluna Rd. Fruitport, Saturday, June 24, 2006, 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Delbert Yoder officiating. Friends may meet with the family Friday, June 23, 2006 between 7:00 – 9:00pm at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home, Spring Lake. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery.
