Eleanor Mae Hoover's Obituary
Mrs. Eleanor Mae Hoover, age 82, passed away Friday evening, November 18, 2011. She was born May 20, 1929 in Muskegon to Benjamin and Ruth (Hill) Bosse and had been a life resident of the area. Eleanor worked as a medical transcriptionist for a mental health clinic for several years and for Holcomb Court Reporting for 3 years before retiring. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and enjoyed knitting, reading, and playing the piano. On September 23, 1950, she married Bertram E. “Pete” Hoover in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2007. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Deborah (Jerry) Groeneveld of Spring Lake, Jacalyn (David) Staretz of Camano Island, WA; 4 grandchildren, Bradley Groeneveld, Victoria Hidde, Mitchell Groeneveld, Colleen Groeneveld; great-granddaughter, Rion Hidde; 5 sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin Bosse and a sister, Delores Hinshaw. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Mark Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Gilson officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIALS to the St. Mark Lutheran Church Memorial Fund will be appreciated.
