Mrs. Eleise J. Turner's Obituary
Mrs. Eleise Turner, age 94 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 23, 2018. Born on December 20, 1923 in Magnolia, AR to Nathan and Eula (Hildreth) Johnson, Eleise moved to the Muskegon area as a teenager. She worked at Hackley Hospital for 35 years as a cook. Eleise is survived by her grandchildren, Shaundra (Nick) Walker, Kim (Jeff) McSwain, Rahman Brewster, Roswan Brewster, Reshail Brewster, all of Flint, MI, Jermall Lawson of Muskegon, and Rashan Townsend of Tulsa, AZ; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Simmons; brother, Naron Hunt; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Doris Morton and Mr. and Mrs. Genora & Eunice Hill; and Godchildren, Gloria White and Nancy Kinsey. She was preceded in death by her son, Hassan “Pete” Shaheed; husband, Early Turner; five sisters; and mother and father. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 28 at 12PM at Angel Community Church (446 Ada Ave., Muskegon, 49442) with the burial at Mona View Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, August 27 from 4-7PM at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave., 49442, 231-726-5210.
