Elizabeth H. Bourdo's Obituary
Elizabeth Helene Bourdo, age 97, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017. She was born May 20, 1920 in Muskegon to Orley and Virginia (Christian) Johnston. Mrs. Bourdo had worked for Muskegon Piston Ring for 31 years prior to her retirement in 1978. On August 31, 1940 she married Cornelius F. Bourdo in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on August 4, 1992. Mrs. Bourdo was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; member of the Muskegon Eagles Aerie #668; and a U.A.W. Local #480 Retirees member. She enjoyed arts and crafts and spending time with family. SURVIVORS include her son, Edward (Barbara) Bourdo of Arkansas; 3 daughters: Sharon Rogalla, Sheryle (Gary) Weller, Sheila (Lloyd) Holland all of Muskegon; daughter-in-law, Ramona Bourdo of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren: Tony (Soleta) Bourdo, Todd (Patty) Bourdo, Adam (Amie) Rogalla, Rodney (Jeanie) Forton, Alex (Julie) Rogalla, Aron (Kristi) Rogalla, Shawn (Ragan) Bourdo, Robert (Anna) Weller, Brian (Jennifer) Weller, Christina (Michael) Miller, Lance (Amber G.) Poland, Tracey (Rick) Jensen, Marcus Holland, Kristy (Michael R.) Holland; 33 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Owen Johnston; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Wendy Little. She was also preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Fredrick (Georgia) Bourdo; son-in-law, James Rogalla; parents; siblings; and mother-in-law. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Matthew Barnum presiding. The ROSARY will be prayed at 5:30 PM Thursday, November 30, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, followed by VISITATION from 6-8 PM.
