Elizabeth Brondyke's Obituary
Mrs. Elizabeth Brondyke, age 88, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008 in Muskegon. She was born October 28, 1919 in Muskegon Heights to Maartin and Antje (DeWaal) Ippel and had resided in the area all of her life. Mrs. Brondyke was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church and belonged to their Sewing Circle and Ladies Friendship Circle. She enjoyed baking, traveling, shopping, but most important to her were her children and grandchildren. On September 25, 1942 she married Harry Brondyke, Jr., and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1979. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Antje (Gerald) Waldo of Muskegon, Jerry (Cindy) Brondyke of Spring Lake, June (Tim) Bultema of Jenison; 6 grandchildren, Nathan (Kristi) Brondyke, Carrie Brondyke, Jacob Bultema, Lauren Bultema, Emily Rozema and Stephen Waldo; brothers-in-law, Donald (Lillian) Brondyke, Arnold (Barb) Brondyke; sisters-in-law, Lois Brondyke, Beth McMillan, Anna (Dewey) Phillips, Janet (Andrew) Nelson, Margery Brondyke; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brondyke was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 infant children; 2 brothers, John Ippel, Henry Ippel; and sister, Adrianna French. SERVICES will be 11 AM Wednesday at Calvin Christian Reformed Church with Rev. John Rop officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at: The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 and 1 hour prior to the service at church, from 10-11 AM. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Calvin CRC or the Christian Care Nursing Center will be appreciated.
