Elizabeth Kramer-Stibitz's Obituary
Mrs. Elizabeth “Liz” Kramer-Stibitz, age 73, passed away May 31, 2006 at her home with her husband at her side. She was born June 29, 1932 in The Netherlands to John and Janje (Smith) VanderBeek and had lived in the area since 1954. On February 7, 1953, she married Arend J. Kramer and he preceded her in death on April 4, 1985. She married Kenneth E. Stibitz on May 24, 2006. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Women’s Auxiliary. She was also active with the F.O.E. Aerie #668 and the German/American Club. Liz was very dedicated to her friends and those she loved. She loved children, dogs and birds. She found joy in crocheting and knitting. Liz was an avid dancer and attended many dance clubs, including the Conklin and Manistee areas and the Muskegon Heights Eagles. She especially enjoyed the area Polka dances and the Polka dancing on Monday’s at the Casino in Manistee. She is SURVIVED by her husband, Kenneth E. Stibitz of Muskegon; a special friend, Christine Stevens and a half sister, Grace (Al) Baker. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana.
