Elizabeth Marie Romesburg's Obituary
Ms. Elizabeth Marie Romesburg, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in Byron Center, Michigan. Elizabeth was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 18, 1932 to William and Mamie (Sheets) Anderson. She graduated from Redford High School and was a resident of the Detroit area for most of her life prior to moving to Spring Lake in 2018. Elizabeth worked for the State of Michigan Department of Social Services as a case worker for over 30 years prior to her retirement in 1997. She was a strong, independent, and loyal mother who raised her children on her own. Elizabeth was an advocate for healthy living. She was a lifelong member of several health clubs, walked daily, and spent many years Clogging with her group of friends around the area. She will be missed by her three children, Rex (Helen) Romesburg, William (Laura) Romesburg, and Sharon Ahrens; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; brother, James (Jerri) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings, Lester Anderson, Martha Munger, Mamie McDonnel, Ruby Rader, Richard Anderson, Opal Freiburger, and Greta Tunstall. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE for Elizabeth will be held 11:00AM Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Spring Lake Cemetery (17181 N Fruitport Rd, Spring Lake, MI 49456).
