Elizabeth E. Turbessi's Obituary
Mrs. Elizabeth E. Turbessi, age 84, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at her home. She was born November 5, 1925 to Walter and Ethel (Long) West and was a life long resident of the Muskegon area. Following her graduation from Muskegon Heights High School, Elizabeth was employed at Shaw-Walker and maintained friendships with the people she met there. On October 9, 1948, she married Americo “Joe” Turbessi in Muskegon. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1977. She was a member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church and was active with the United Methodist Women. She is survived by her children, David J. (Mary) Turbessi of Nunica and Nancy (Brian) Lundberg of Pentwater; 3 grandchildren, Joe and Chris Turbessi and Amy (Ryan) Arnold. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Scott Lundberg in 2002 and 7 brothers and sisters. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held Friday, 1:30 p.m. at Norton Cemetery, on Airport Road west of Grand Haven Road, with Kristin Aardema Faigh officiating. MEMORIAL contributions may be made to Lake Harbor United Methodist Church.
