Mrs. Ella Maisy (Kellogg) Knoll, age 85, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 13, 2012. Ella’s story began on November 13, 1926 in Muskegon, MI. She was the first of 4 children born to Fred and Myrl (Kempton) Kellogg. Ella grew up on Continental St. with her two sisters, LaVange (Dick) Jones and Lois Merrymon. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Uel W. As a child, Ella enjoyed visiting her grandparents in Grant, MI and would often tell stories about her adventures on the Kempton farm. At a young age, she accepted Christ as her Savior and began attending Grace Memorial Baptist Church where she has been a member all her life. On September 7, 1945 she married Kenneth Knoll (who preceded her in death in 1995) and they began their life in the home they built on Interwood Street. She devoted her life to caring for their 5 children: Karen (Randy) Muscato, Jane (Lou) Graham, Robert (Pam) Knoll, LoisAnn (Randy) Westerlund, and Wendy (Kris) Ford. After raising her children, she worked at the City of Muskegon for 25 years as a transit dispatcher/driver. Ella was involved for many years with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Muskegon, teaching Bible lessons in area schools, and Good News Club in her home. She will be remembered for her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her devotion and love for her family. The stories she told will continue on in the lives of her 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; nieces; and nephew. The FUNERAL service will be at 2 P.M.
