Ellen Charlotte Kops' Obituary
Ellen Charlotte Kops, age 77, passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence in Fruitport following a short illness. She was born in Muskegon on November 11, 1934 to Harold and Violet (Morris) Niesen and was raised in Norton Twp. Ellen married Mr. Ralph R. Kops in Muskegon on November 3, 1951 and were former members of the Muskegon Heights Eagles. Ellen is survived by: her husband, Ralph R. Kops, Sr.; two sons, Jeffrey (Kathleen) Kops of Tampa, FL and Ralph R. Kops, Jr. of Wyoming, MI; daughter, Kristi (Carl) Carmean of Grand Haven; four grandchildren, David and Sarah Kops and Hannah and Kathryn Carmean; a brother, Glen (Jesse) Niesen of Fruitport; and two sisters, Florence (James) Wilde and Darlene Leach both in Muskegon. A Memorial Service will be held at: The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100, 11:00 A.M., Monday with Rev. Brian Kyle officiating. Visitation: the family will begin receiving guests one hour prior. Memorial Contributions: Harbor Hospice or Fruitland Evangelical Covenant Church.
