Elmer "Lee" Middlecamp's Obituary
Elmer “Lee” Middlecamp, age 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Muskegon, MI, on Monday, October 24, 2022. Lee was born on January 31, 1946, to his parents Elmer and Eula (Santose) Middlecamp. A lifelong Muskegon resident, he graduated from North Muskegon High School. He worked for many years doing maintenance at Reeths Puffer High School before retiring in 2008. On July 23, 1966, Lee married the former JoAnn Green, and they spent 55 wonderful years together until she passed away in 2021. Lee was a man of simple pleasures; he enjoyed camping with his wife, as well as friends, Ruth and Larry Basch, Toey and Clare TerBorg, and Bubba and Marilyn Forton. Lee will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Stacey (Greg) Grelewicz; three grandchildren: Charlie (Meghan) Schafer, Alyssa Grelewicz, and Trevor Grelewicz; and five siblings in-law: Thomas (Judee) Green, Barb (Cal) Bennett, Gerri (Mike) Woudstra, Marilyn Forton, and MaryLou (Larry) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Eula; wife, JoAnn; son, Jon Middlecamp; and sister, Carolyn Goulet. A private family service will be taking place for Lee. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or Bridge to Life Ministries. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444.
