Elnora A. (Kievit) VanderKooi's Obituary
Mrs. Elnora A. (Kievit) VanderKooi, age 89, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at DeBoer Nursing Home. She was born March 22, 1921 in Muskegon to John and Anna (Kaad) Kievit and lived in the area her entire life. On August 31, 1940, she married William J. VanderKooi in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1981. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where she sang in the church choir. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Sharon (David) Thies, Gary VanderKooi, and Steven (Sharon) VanderKooi all of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert J. Conradt officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church. INTERMENT will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or Muskegon County Habitat for Humanity.
