Eloda Moran's Obituary
Mrs. Eloda Moran, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at her home in Twin Lake, Michigan. She was born at her childhood home in Twin Lake on July 26, 1933 to Lewis and Helen Marie (Barrs) Springer. She married David Moran on November 5, 1955 in Muskegon at St Paul's Episcopal church. Eloda graduated from Muskegon High School and went on to have a 38-year career with the Department of Health and Human Services of Michigan. Eloda enjoyed the outdoors, drives along Lake Michigan, camping, snowmobiling, gardening and bird watching. She was never without one of her loyal companions, Cindy (springer spaniel), Fritz, or Rudy (terriers). She loved her family and friends, never forgetting a birthday and always planning family gatherings for the holidays, or just sharing a cup of coffee together. She is survived by her brother, Tom (Carol) Springer; sister-in-law, Bobbie (Louie) Springer; nieces and nephews, Kim (Mark) Moore Zabroske, Todd (Anne Marie) Moore, Tyrone (Kristi) Springer, Wendy Vandenberg, David (Tonya) Springer, Bruce (Alicia) Springer, Teresa (Bill) Gioia, Jerry (Debbie) Cooper, Cheryl (Mike) Charles, Chuck (Vickie) Moran, Mike Moran, Josie Moran, and Vicki Moran; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Moran; her parents; five siblings, Lewis Springer Jr., Walter Springer, Leona Moore, Lois Cooper, and Beverly Cline; siblings-in-law, Pat Smithwick and Joe Moran; and nephews, Thomas “Tommer” Moore and Gary and Donna Cline. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 12, 2026 at the Twin Lake Community Church, 5940 Main Street, Twin Lake, MI 49457 with visitation one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in the Twin Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
