Elois Dena Piper's Obituary
Mrs. Elois D. Piper, age 74, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2007 at a local nursing home. She was born October 9, 1932 at home in Fruitport to Earl and Myrtle (Traxler) Tietsort and lived in the Muskegon area all of her life. On September 16, 1950, she married Donald L. Piper in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2000. She worked 15 years as a clerk for Verizon. SURVIVORS include her children, Linda (Larry) Glavich, Brenda (Don) Holman both of Muskegon, Rick (Sally) Piper of Ravenna; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Monte (Helen) Tietsort of North Muskegon and Gene (Ruthann) Tietsort of Muskegon; 1 sister, Gale (Ben) Sarver of Angola, IN: and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Brett Edward Piper in 1981, 1 sister and 2 brothers. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210, with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Wednesday.
